  • Use as mouthwash: Boil some peppermint tea and allow to steep then add 2 pinches of salt. Mint, lemongrass and cinnamon also work as a refreshing mouthwash.
  • Soothe a sunburn: Wet teabags can soothe minor burns and injection sites. For a full-body sunburn, soak in a relaxing tea bath. ways to use tea
  • Soothe tired eyes and pinkeye: Warm, wet teabags can reduce puffiness and soothe pain around your eyes.
  • Improve skin, soften wrinkles and reduce acne: The antioxidants and caffeine protect and beautify skin. 1. Bathe in or wash your face with green tea or chamomile tea 2.   • De-stink feet and hands: Soak your feet in strong tea for 20 minutes for a relaxing and effective way to reduce foot odor. Rub together stinky fish, onion or garlic hands with brewed tea to remove unwanted odors.
  • Exfoliate: Mix 2 green tea bags, 1 cup sugar and ½ a cup coconut oil to create your own scrub. The rough leaves will remove dead skin and the antioxidants will revitalize.
  • Shine dry hair: Brewed tea can add a shine to your dry hair. Rinse your hair with tea and leave to dry for a while, then rinse again with water. 

Cleaning and Home

  • Deodorize your fridge: Add tea bags to your fridge to soak up rotten smells.
  • Dye: Soak white fabrics (curtains, shirts, etc.) in brewed tea for an antique, sepia tone. Use three tea bags for every 2 cups of water.
  • Compost: Throw your old tea leaves & bags into any compost to speed up the process.
  • Pot plants: Place used tea bags at the bottom of the pot before adding soil. The teabags hold moisture and provide nutrients to the roots.
  • Infuse pillows, drawers and your car: Fill your pillows with scented lavender or chamomile tea for a peaceful, calming rest. Snazz up your drawers, wardrobe or car with flavored tea bags that work as fresheners.
  • Soak dirty pans: For stubborn burnt spots, fill a pan with hot water and a black tea bag. The tannic acid in the tea will help break down the grease.ways to use tea
  • Clean the floors: Dip a rag in steeped tea and rub it on your hardwood floors. This will add shine and a slight tint of color to revitalize your floor. You could use the same technique with a cloth to wipe clean and polish furniture for a new shine. ways to use tea
